Team USA was shut out of medaling in pairs figure skating on Saturday, with China’s Wenjing Sui and Cong Han taking gold and the ROC claiming both silver and bronze.

Two American teams will compete for gold in the pairs free skate after qualifying in the pairs short program.

“I think both Ashley and I have had to overcome so many different things, so many times, where people who told us no or we don’t belong,” Timothy LeDuc said.

Chinese and Russian figure skaters swept the top five spots Friday during the pairs short program, while Team USA’s two pairs placed sixth and seventh.
