An app designed to help you find the purr-fect pet to adopt is now even easier to use just in time for NBC and Telemundo’s annual Clear the Shelters initiative.

Animal shelters across the country are once again teaming up with NBC and Telemundo stations to find loving homes for pets in need with the Clear The Shelters pet adoption and donation campaign.

NBC and Telemundo owned and affiliated stations will partner with local animal shelters and rescues from August 1 to August 31

Shelters across the state are struggling to find homes for the big dogs in their care.

A special life-saving airlift on Monday transported more than 150 at-risk dogs and cats from overcrowded Louisiana shelters to the northeast and marked the launch of NBCUniversal Local’s Clear The Shelters pet adoption and donation campaign.

NBCUniversal Local, Greater Good Charities, The Animal Rescue Site and Hill’s Pet Nutrition are partnering on a special life-saving pet airlift for more than 150 at-risk dogs and cats from New Orleans to Morristown, N.J., and New Bedford, Mass., on Aug. 23 to coincide with the launch of Clear The Shelters, NBCUniversal Local’s annual pet adoption and donation campaign.
