Storm season was quieter than normal in North Texas.

Thunderstorms packed a punch Wednesday bringing heavy rain and hail as well as a chance for tornadoes to areas south and east of the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

The first round of showers and storms will impact North Texas tonight and Tuesday morning. The second round will arrive Tuesday evening

Monday will be mostly cloudy with widespread rain in the evening and in the coming days. NBC 5 Meteorologist Samantha Davies says we could see two to four inches of rain late Monday through Tuesday and into Wednesday morning.

You’ll want to stay weather aware since the National Weather Service issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 10 p.m. for a large part of North Texas including the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

A weak cold front moved across North Texas Saturday morning, bringing a drop in the humidity, although it’ll only be for a day.

Low humidity means it will cool off nicely overnight, dipping briefly into the upper 50s. But the front will come back as a warm front on Sunday, bringing warmer temperatures and increasing humidity once again.
