Annie Potasznik joined the NBC 5 team in January of 2009. She shares her wealth of knowledge of new, hidden or forgotten gems of the Metroplex’s dining world. Viewers can catch her lifestyle reports during the 10 p.m. hour before “Saturday Night Live.”

Annie has jumped straight out of the publishing world (she was the editor of a regional magazine for two years) and back into television. An eight-year veteran in the media industry, Annie is a discerning writer with a voice all her own. She has seen her work published in newspapers, magazines, and on-line and listened to her copy on the radio and television. She previously wrote for NBC 5.
She graduated from The University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Arts and Science degree. At UNT she majored in Broadcast Journalism and minored in Political Science.
Annie is a recipient of the National Foundation for Advancements in the Arts Award, earned when she was attending Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas. Annie also speaks French fluently.
A bon vivant, Annie enjoys traveling to visit family in Western Europe and New York, sky diving, flying, cooking vegetarian meals and her cat named Beckham, who looks like a lion.
