Vehicle Search Prompts Haz-Mat Response in Plano

An unknown powdery substance found in a vehicle at the Plano Police Department has prompted a call to the Fire Department's Haz-Mat team.

Officers were searching the vehicle in the back parking lot of the police station when the material was found.

At this time, there are three fire department apparatus in the immediate vicinity of the incident investigating.

The Plano Bomb Team has also been dispatched to assist the Haz-Mat unit in their investigation, police said.

Currently, no evacuations have taken place.
