Investigators blame a blown left rear tire for sending a car veering out of control and into a tree on an east Texas highway, killing three North Texas men.
The crash happened at 7:45 a.m. Saturday on Interstate 20, about 15 miles northwest of Tyler.
Smith County Justice of the Peace James Meredith identifies the dead as 20-year-old Michael Sanchez of Kennedale, 18-year-old Ruban Vargas of Fort Worth and Emilio Banda-Hernandez of Fort Worth, who age was unknown.
The driver of the car, 28-year-old Enrique Martinez of Fort Worth, was treated for minor injuries at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler and discharged.
Another passenger, 37-year-old Jermaine Bailey of Fort Worth, was in fair condition at the Tyler hospital.
