Pool Hall Shooting Tops Police Blotter

POOL HALL SHOOTING

An Austin man is dead, another man is injured and a gunman is at large after a shooting at a Dallas pool hall early Sunday morning. Officers were called to the Los Compadres Billiard Club in the 2000 block of South Beckley Avenue just after 1 a.m., Dallas police said.  When they got there, officers found one man dead. Another man had driven himself to a local hospital with a gunshot wound to the foot.  He is expected to recover from his injuries. The deceased has been identified by the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office as Santiago Cuadros, 50, of Austin. Detectives were still interviewing witnesses 10 hours after the shooting, Dallas police Lt. Andy Harvey said. There is no information from police on what may have lead up to the shooting.

OFFICER INJURED IN HIT AND RUN
A Dallas police officer is recovering from minor injuries after an early morning hit and run accident. The officer was driving her cruiser westbound on C.F. Hawn when she was sideswiped by another vehicle. The driver of that vehicle kept going but the officer collided with another car. The officer was taken to Baylor Hospital to be checked out.

DALLAS BANK ROBBED
Investigators are looking for a man who robbed a Wells Fargo Bank on Saturday afternoon. Police say the suspect said he had a weapon and demanded cash and managed to get away. The bank is located at 13050 Coit Road in Dallas.
