Ever wonder how our favorite teen pop princess turned train wreck turned comeback queen has been living over the past few years when she's not touring or smashing in car windows with umbrellas? Take a look at Brit Brit's many homes, from New York to L.A.
Earlier this year, Britney Spears rented out a swanky 19,000-square-foot mega mansion in the celeb-friendly Hidden Hills neighborhood. However, it looks as if that 10 bedroom, 13 bathroom spread didn't suit the pop star's needs because Brit Brit is said to have recently rented an equally impressive mansion in Thousand Oaks, California. Click through to see more photos of the home.
While it's unclear how much the mom of two is paying for the resort-style home, the luxurious crib was most recently listed on the open market for a jaw-dropping $8.9 million. Here's a view of the masculine wood-paneled library in the pad, which features a coffered ceiling, honey-colored floors, and a carved stone fireplace.
Brit Brit's newest rental property is much smaller than her most recent one. This Thousand Oaks crib measures around 10,500 square feet and was built in 2004.
The elegant eight-sided grand foyer culminates in the hand-painted geometric mural that decorates the ceiling of the upper level gallery.
A look at the living room in Britney's reported new home. This room, which features honey-colored Oak floors, a wall of sliding glass doors, and a carved stone fireplace, is certainly expansive enough for her two kiddos to play around in.
A look at Britney's new formal dining room. Even though the pop star has moved numerous times since her split from first hubby Kevin Federline, one thing is for certain: each mansion Britney picks is decked out in luxuries most of us can only dream of.
While it's unclear how much Britney is leasing this gigantic property for, The Real Estalker reports that the rate could possibly be around $25,000 per month, which was the monthly rate when the house was previously up for rent.
Head on up to the second floor to the mansion's posh game room, which features a coffered ceiling, an expansive open space where a pool table is situated, a fireplace, and a full-size wood and granite pub. Life is good if you're Britney (or her boyfriend, Jason Tarwick).
What really makes this room raise-your-eyebrows with envy awesome is this full-size granite pub, which comes with a bar, leather bar stools, and enough counter space for Britney to concoct what we imagine are some pretty sweet cocktails.
Forget the stuffy gym when you have your very own fitness room, replete with amazing views.

The family-friendly backyard is equipped with an entertainment complex, including a curved outdoor kitchen, outdoor fire pit, barbecue and bar.
Britney can entertain, or if her boyfriend should propose to the pop queen, toast her own engagement under the covered dining pavilion.
Britney's Hidden Hills Tudor-style digs featured 10 bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, multiple hot tubs, and a pool with soothing waterfalls.
We can't imagine Britney playing golf anytime soon, but if she decides to take up the sport she can enjoy the 72-par Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course.

The master bathroom comes with a jetted soaking tub, glass-enclosed shower, and of course, a make-up vanity station for the now thirty-year-old pop star.

Britney's former Manhattan digs are now on the market for $4.895 million. Britney bought the penthouse unit, located in Greenwich Village, in 2002 for $3 million and sold it (barely used) in July 2006 for $4 million. The luxe crib features 3 bedrooms, 4.5 baths and 4,400 square feet of interior living space. View the listing.
Located in the Silk Building, this home includes 4,400 square feet of interior living space and a spacious living room with a fireplace and stunning New York City views.

These days, Britney spends a lot of time on tour — and she has a penchant for giving lapdances. The singer has been seen in recent weeks giving one to a lucky random fan as well as one to Pauly D (yes, THAT Pauly D) from "Jersey Shore." She also performed during the 2011 Billboard Music Awards (shown here).
The pre-war building, built in 1908, comes with a doorman, 12 floors, 56 units, 4 elevators. The penthouse unit also comes with a $3,390 maintenance and common charges fee, on top of the $4.895 ask.
Britney had quite a hard time unloading this pad, chopping the price multiple times and taking the property off the market over a four-year span. Looks like the new owners are facing the same challenges as they've recently assigned a team of four brokers to handle this listing, including notable big shot Raphael de Niro.

Thousands of fans lined up in 2008 to see Britney Spears perform live on "Good Morning America." Spears was also celebrating her 27th birthday, and she gave her fans a gift by announcing that she'd kick off a world tour. Too bad she sold her Greenwich Village digs in 2006 - she could have stayed there during her NY visit!
A view of Britney's former bathroom. This bath includes marble floors and slate counters. There's also a mud room and a large laundry room in the spread.
Every Manhattan penthouse needs a huge terrace! This one boasts sweeping views of downtown. Though Spears seems to be on the rebound now in terms of her fame, the past few years haven't been as rosy for the pop princess...

In 2007, Brit Brit experienced a meltdown of epic proportions including a custody battle, stints in rehab, culminating with a shaved head. Click to see the home the pop star lived in during her tumultuous years, and snapshots from Spears' breakdown.
The Malibu mansion where she lived during her crazy times can be yours for a cool $15.95 million. The two-story, mountain-view home is part of a gated community, and features an oasis pool. View the listing.
The infamous house where Britney's public meltdown began is located at the end of a cul-de-sac in the premier gated community of Serra Retreat in Malibu. The current owner is G.I. Joe director Stephen Sommers who purchased the crib from then train wreck Britney for $10 million in August 2007.
Britney didn't look her best during her meltdown — she had other things on her mind, like K-Fed and her two kids. She's pictured here leaving a custody hearing.
Britney and her ex-hubby Kevin Federline purchased the home for almost $7 million in their much happier and sane days of 2004.
The two-story estate features this spacious living area with floor-to-ceiling windowed doors that open outwards to the backyard.
The snafus just kept piling up. She is pictured here leaving yet another custody hearing, and in the spring of 2008 she was involved in a minor traffic accident. Luckily, no one was injured. But the accident surely didn't heal the pop star's pride.
She may have been going off the deep end in 2007, but Britney sure had great taste in real estate.

Looking surly, Spears arrives at a custody hearing in January 2008. Her head still hadn't recovered from its meeting with a razor. Not a good look Brit, not a good look.

The backyard features a pool, toddler wading area, rock grotto, an air-conditioned child's playhouse, a one-bedroom guest house, and a full equipped outdoor kitchen and dining space.
The French-chateau-style estate in Calabasas, CA that the pop star leased until recently is up for grabs for a cool $7.999 million. Brit Brit reportedly enjoyed the glam crib for a whopping $19,000 per month. Now it can be yours. View the listing.
Britney Spears leased this mansion back in 2008 when it was originally listed by the owners for $9.9 million.
The Calabasas, CA residence is centered around this ritzy courtyard that boasts a limestone fountain and an outdoor cast stone fireplace.
While the pop star recently upgraded to more lavish digs in the celeb friendly hood of Hidden Hills, Britney's Calabasas rental is certainly nothing to be ashamed of. The spread features a total of seven bedrooms and seven baths over 10,000 square feet.

Finally, in February, Ms. Spears ponied up $18.9 million for a Tudor-style mansion in the celeb-friendly community of Hidden Hills, California.
The opulent mansion is close to 20,000 square feet and includes ten bedrooms, thirteen bathrooms, a game room, multiple hot tubs, and depending on your sense of style, an (un)fashionable hot pink painted bedroom.
Britney and her two sons will join the ranks of Jennifer Lopez, the Kardashians, and Melissa Etheridge, all of whom call this ultra-exclusive neighborhood home. Here is a view of the extremely spacious kitchen.
The property totals 3.39 acres and includes a very private, wonderfully landscaped garden with a lake, tennis court, swimming pool and multiple hot tubs.
