Dallas-based syndicated morning show hosts Lex & Terry were yanked from the local airwaves last week.

Despite being pulled off the air at their flagship station, Lex Staley and Terry Jaymes remain on the air in 23 markets across the country, as well as on XM Satellite Radio and through the Internet.

The change sparked outrage on the host's Facebook page where fans pleaded with the station to reinstate the hosts while others threatened to protest outside of the radio station.

The pair had been broadcasting on 97.1 KEGL since Valentine's Day in 2006.  Prior to that they had been on 102.1 KDGE The Edge.

Chris Ryan, program director/afternoons at the station said the station has no comment on the show being pulled from the airwaves.

KEGL is owned by Clear Channel Radio.
