This weekend, nine North Texas high school football teams will compete for state championship titles with at least two looking to rewrite their place in history.

After 10 weeks of regular season play and five weeks of playoffs, new state champions were crowned in Texas high school football at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. Here are the winners.

Keelon Russell, a five-star recruit out of Duncanville High School who is committed to playing quarterback for Alabama, won the 2024-25 Gatorade National Football Player of the Year award earlier this month.

Not only are Midlothian and Frisco Lone Star facing off in the high school football playoffs — they are playing with a trip to the state quarterfinals on the line!
