Trying Out Parking Spots in North Texas With the Texas Thunder Truck

It seems parking spots in North Texas keep getting smaller and smaller. So we took the larger than life Texas Thunder Truck out to see just how many spots the beast could actually squeeze into.

We started out the day much like everyone else, with a stop at Starbucks. You can see that my front end was sticking out a little too much.

Next we moved over to McDonald's. This one was difficult to get into and I even blocked much of the sidewalk that was painted off on the ground.

Next we went over to Target. You can see I pulled all the way into the spot.

It was a tight squeeze between two other cars.

You can see I was much longer than the car beside me.

But on the other side, I was not sticking out in the road that far.

After Target we went to the larger than life gas station Fuel City. But this parking spot on the side of the building was not built for me.

You can see that my back wheels were not even inside the parking spot, leaving much of the truck sticking out in the road.

Next we headed Downtown Fort Worth. Plenty of parallel parking available, but none that I could fit in.

After leaving Downtown, we headed over to the popular West 7th street area. I tried out the parking in the new Tom Thumb parking lot.

But look at the back of the truck! I am 100% within the lines of this parking spot.

It was not the same story over at the Montgomery Plaza.

Not too bad, but I am sticking out in the road a ways.

Next we went over to the shopping center at the corner of West 7th Street and University. You can see that I got into this spot, but it was blocking the spot right beside it. No one would be able to pull into that spot with the back of my truck blocking it.

We tested out the parking over at the Will Rogers Memorial Center as well. This is the place full of trucks for the annual Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo, but I took up more than one space in this lot. There are other lots on the grounds that can accommodate large trucks and trailers though.

After Will Rogers, we headed over to the Fort Worth Stockyards. But I had some trouble squeezing into this spot. You can see it was a tight fit, and my front end stuck out into the road quite far.

After the Stockyards, we made our way over to AT&T Stadium. Much like the other spots we tried out today, this one was not big enough for me!

Since we were in Arlington, we had to swing by Globe Life Park. I found two spots open and pulled right through. But you can see that I took up most of the second spot behind me.
