The severe weather threat for the metro area has passed, though areas to the east may still see severe weather including hail and the possibility of a tornado.

The NWS has issued a Flood Warning for the White Rock Creek area of Dallas near Greenville Avenue until 4:37 a.m. Sunday. A Wind Advisory is in effect from 4 p.m. to 7 a.m. Sunday. See a listing of active alerts here.
A few showers will still be possible into Saturday evening. Overnight, the wind will get very strong as it shifts to the northwest.
Rain amounts could exceed two inches across North Texas. This will be beneficial rainfall since much of the area has had below normal rainfall so far this year.
At about 11 a.m., in Central and East Texas, the National Weather Service received several reports of a large, extremely dangerous tornado in the Franklin area, about 50 miles southeast of Waco in Robertson County. Multiple tornado reports were received in the area, though it's not yet clear if there were multiple tornadoes or one longtrack tornado.
NBC 5's Chief Meteorologist Rick Mitchell said the air in that part of the state is a little warmer and offers more energy for severe weather, including tornadoes, to develop.
There will be a concern for tornadoes east of the Metroplex later this afternoon farther to the south and southeast.
