Rangers Lose Minor League Coach to Blue Jays

    The Texas Rangers have had some turnover in their coaching staff throughout the organization — a trickle-down effect after Ron Washington's abrupt resignation in September and everything that came along with that.

    They'll now be looking for a new minor-league assistant hitting coordinator after Brook Jacoby accepted the job as the Toronto Blue Jays hitting coach. Jacoby was the Reds' hitting coach for seven seasons prior to his one-year stint with the Rangers and it obviously didn't take him long to get back into the big leagues.

    The former 11-year big-league veteran was a .270 career hitter with three teams from 1981-1992 spent mostly with the Cleveland Indians.
