Plano Teen Records Rude Drivers With Dash Cameras

Bad drivers in Collin County, beware.

Cameras could be rolling the next time you cut someone off.

A Plano teen installed cameras in his car to show new drivers what it's really like on the road.

Marc McKennon, 19, experiences the annoyances all drivers face. But in his Honda, cameras are almost always rolling.

"It's pretty scary about how clueless people are, how careless they are with their driving. At the same time, it's pretty entertaining,” he said.

McKennon installed the cameras in his car earlier this year.

He uploads videos of drivers behaving badly to a YouTube page called "Bad Drivers of Plano" even though the clips come from all over Collin County.

β€œI feel like when you're in driving school you really just learn the laws. You don't really learn how other people act on the road,” he said.

In the five months McKennon has been recording, he's only caught one wreck on camera...his own.

McKennon says the fender bender taught him a lesson that Plano Police Officer Andrae Smith says others should learn.

"Have patience while you're driving. Drive as if there are other people out on the roadway other than yourself,” Smith said.
