Good news for the Dallas Cowboys defense.
Middle linebacker Sean Lee returned to practice on Thursday for the first time since straining his hamstring in the November 10 loss to the Saints in New Orleans. He missed the past two games--a pair of wins--but there’s no doubt his presence on the practice field at Valley Ranch was a happy sight for coaches.
The Cowboys practiced outside, even though temperatures are in the 30s today, and it’s drizzling off and on.
“We want to practice here, outside,” said head coach Jason Garrett, per ESPN Dallas. “The weather has been good to us. Going up to play in some of these northern cities where the weather is bad, a couple of weeks ago against the Giants we got some bad weather down here in the days leading up to that and we thought that was a positive to go out there and practice in it. It sounds like the weather’s not going to be great here the next couple of days, so we’re going to embrace that opportunity as well.”
Linebacker Justin Durant returned on Thursday as well.
Cornerback Morris Claiborne and receiver/return man Dwayne Harris remained sidelined, however.
