Place Your Bets: Week 7

If you live in Nevada, Oregon, Montana or Delaware, you're in luck. Otherwise, go to Canada or Europe, or those rogues in New Jersey and get your bet on for the NFL weekend!

1. Baltimore at Houston (-6.5), Sunday, noon — Remember when the run-deficient Cowboys ran like crazy over the Baltimore Ravens defense last week? Well, now the Ravens are without middle linebacker Ray Lewis and they're traveling to Houston to face arguably the game's best rushing attack with a two-headed running back monster of Arian Foster and Ben Tate. Look out. This one could get ugly, especially with the Texans coming off their first loss of the season, and an embarrassing one at that.

2. Green Bay at St. Louis (+5.5), Sunday, noon — There's no real statistical evidence to support this one. After all, the Packers smoked the Texans' defense last week, but the Rams have just been good to me this year when it comes to covering as underdogs. They're at home, their defense is still playing well and the Packers' offense has been up and down all year. Give me the Rams.

3. Washington (+6.5) at New York Giants, Sunday, 3 p.m. — Robert Griffin III. That about says it all. The Redskins quarterback had a career game last week in a victory over Minnesota a week after suffering a concussion. Imagine what he could do two weeks after said concussion? He and fellow rookie Alfred Morris are becoming quite the duo at a young age. The Giants will win this game at home, but it'll be a close one.

4. New York Jets at New England (-10.5), Sunday, 3 p.m. — Don't like these big lines when you're taking the favorite, but this is an exception. The Patriots are coming off an embarrassing road loss at Seattle, while the Jets are coming off a fluke, over-inflating win in which Shonn Greene ran wild, somehow. Back home, the Patriots are going to stick it to their biggest rivals, and in a big way. Hide your kids, hide your wife.

5. Dallas (-2.5) at Carolina, Sunday, noon — DeMarco Murray is out, but Felix Jones magically looked good in his absence after Murray had approached 100 rushing yards in the first half in last week's loss to Baltimore. Now, Jones will be the guy this week against an equally bad run defense in Carolina. The Cowboys are going to be out to prove something in what is a big game and the different between being 3-3 on the season and 2-4, which is an awfully big difference. Cowboys should win this game with relative ease.

Last week: 2-3. 2012 season: 18-12.
