Miami RB Duke Johnson Thinks He'd be a Good Fit in Dallas

Johnson left the University of Miami as the Canes' all-time leading rusher

Duke Johnson, the University of Miamiโ€™s all-time leading rusher, believes heโ€™d be a good fit with the Dallas Cowboys.

Obviously, the Cowboys are approaching next weekโ€™s draft in need of a running back and the projected second round pick Johnson is a good one--ranked by NFL Network analyst Mike Mayock as the No. 4 running back in the draft at the moment--if not as highly touted as the Todd Gurleys and Melvin Gordons of the world.

Johnson named the Cowboys as the team that best fits his running style in an interview on NFL Networkโ€™s โ€œNFL AM,โ€ on Monday.

โ€œIn college, we ran the same outside zone scheme," Johnson said. โ€œI can run it, basically, in my sleep.โ€

Of course, the Cowboys lost the NFLโ€™s reigning rushing champion this offseason as DeMarco Murray went to the rival Philadelphia Eagles in free agency. Right now, the biggest name in the Dallas backfield is Darren McFadden, who was signed the day after Murray signed with Philly.
