An investigation by Texas Watchdog found 6,000 voters on county rolls who may be dead.
Texas Watchdog said Thursday it discovered the names of dead people on some ballots cast in recent Dallas County elections.
The group also said more than 6,000 people remain on county voter rolls who may be dead.
"We're trying to raise a red flag here," said Texas Watchdog's Lee Ann O'Neal. "Elections are too important to have this much potential for fraud. After we shared our findings with Dallas County election officials, they said they wanted to investigate, and we're thrilled they are taking action."
