One person is dead and two injured after a shooting in Fort Worth early Sunday morning.
Fort Worth police responded to call about a shooting at a family gathering at a home in the 2500 block of Shropshire Street at 1:27 a.m., according to Fort Worth Police Department spokesman Sgt. Steve Enright.
A gunman tried to enter the home, but was told to leave. The person circled the area several times and opened fire as people left the home, Enright said.
Edguardo Pesina, 21, was arrested and charged with murder Sunday evening, Enright said.
Three people were shot, one of whom was pronounced dead at a hospital. Another person was shot in the leg. Enright gave no further information on the condition of the two people who were shot.
Fort Worth police are still investigating the identity of the shooter and the motive for trying to enter the home.
