Arlington Residents' Cars Shot With BB Gun

Arlington homeowners are out hundreds of dollars after someone shot up their vehicles with a BB gun.

Jennifer Keaton — who owns a home in the 6200 block of Maple Springs Drive — spent her morning cleaning up broken shards of glass from her broken truck window.

"It's obviously not what you want to see when you first wake up," she said. "Nothing was missing. Just the window was shattered."

Keaton wasn't alone, as someone shot at least five vehicles on Maple Springs Drive with a BB gun early Friday morning. The damage ranged from shattered windows to paint chips.

Resident Tim Hastings watched the shooters head back and forth down the road.

"Sounded like teenagers," he said. "You could hear them laughing as they went by. There were at least two of them in there."

Officers took Hastings' vehicle description to look for surveillance video in the area and a license plate number. Police told NBC 5 they should have a better idea of who is responsible Monday.

NBC 5's Ellen Bryan contributed to this report.
