An Amtrak train crashed into a dump truck in Sunnyvale Monday night, killing the truck driver, police say.
The crash happened near the intersection of Lawson Road and East Scyene Road, just east of the Mesquite Metro Airport.
The train conductor told investigators the driver of the dump truck went around the railroad crossing arms before being hit.
None of the 79 people on the Amtrak train were hurt, police said.
The identity of the truck driver has not been released.
