Suspected Limo Riding Bank Robber ‘Goes Out In Style'

A man suspected of robbing an Irving bank Friday in a limousine was arrested in Tulsa, Oklahoma -- in another limo.

Cory Eugene Gill is charged with robbing the Comerica Bank in Irving Friday morning.  He made his getaway in a limo, the FBI said.

By 5 pm Friday, investigators had tracked him down in Tulsa.

"We received information that he had arrived in Tulsa and was dropped off in a limo," said police spokesman Officer Leland Ashley. "Our robbery detectives set up surveillance."

The officers determined that the first limo had dropped him off, but Gill had apparently arranged for another one to pick him up, police said.

"He contracted another limousine service," Ashley said.

The majority of the money taken in the Irving robbery, more than $11,000, was recovered, police said.

Gill, who police said also had warrants for his arrest out of Phoenix and Seattle, celebrated his 40th birthday in the Tulsa County Jail on Monday.

"He's going out in style," Ashley said.
