Officers said Brandon Taylor, who is also known as Brandon Thomas, failed to turn himself in for arrest in connection with the murder of 19-year-old Darrin McMorris back in April.

On April 27, police responded to a shooting in the 2800 block of Cheyenne Street in Irving. Officers learned that McMorris and Mayte Rangel, 18, were shot during an attempted robbery.

Rangel was shot in the hand and is recovering.

McMorris was transported to Baylor Hospital in Dallas where he later died from a gunshot wound to the head.

Investigators identified Rashad Cox, 20, Nylon Hart, 19, and 19-year-old Taylor as the three suspects responsible for the attempted robbery and murder of McMorris.

Cox and Hart are currently in custody at the Dallas County Jail on a charge of capital murder.

A warrant has been issued for Taylor for capital murder.

Police said he is five-feet, 10-inches tall, weighs 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Brandon Taylor is asked to call the Irving Police Department at 972-273-1010 or 911 immediately.
