Romo Speaks After Early Practice

Like it or not, Tony Romo is the franchises face. He's is the person, (save Jerry Jones) that people identify the Cowboys with. So naturally, us media hacks can't wait to hear what he has to say.

Yesterday, was the first day of practice, and naturally we thought Romo would speak then. He ditched us, promising today and he delivered. Usually when Romo speaks, he'll give you a few nuggets and that's about it.

Today, he was much of the same. He didn't get into his personal life, which he rarely does. He didn't bite on the pressure question. And he admitted he understands, that being a celebrity, some people are going attack him. It's all about his maturation as a quarterback.

As for that, Romo had one of his more entertaining answers.

"When I was 25, I thought I was mature. I probably wasn't." Romo added, "I'm 29 now. Am I mature? Who knows."

Regardless of Romo's maturity, or growth as a leader, he knows the only way the media hatchets will get off his back is if he wins at playoff game.
