Garrett Hoping For a Wedding Invite

As you may have heard by now, particularly if you frequent this blog, Dallas Cowboys starting quarterback Tony Romo got engaged on Thursday, to his girlfriend, local television sports reporter, Candice Crawford.

Interim head coach Jason Garrett, who is fairly close with Romo, was asked on Friday if he would be part of Romo’s wedding party.

"I don't know, it's good news though isn't it?" Garrett said prior to Friday's practice, per ESPN Dallas. "We'll see, I just want to get the initial invite."

The news of Romo’s engagement comes near the end of a generally news-less year, as far as the two-time Pro Bowler is concerned. Romo suffered a broken clavicle in the team’s October 25 loss to the New York Giants, and has been sidelined with the injury ever since.

Whether he’ll return this season remains unclear, but we will offer Romo the following toast nonetheless: May your marriage be unlike your clavicle, so far as its breakability is concerned.

    Yep, that was pretty good.
