New Clues in Road Rage Crash that Killed White Settlement Firefighter

Police in White Settlement released four new images that they hope will help them solve the hit-and-run death of a local firefighter.

Surveillance cameras at the U-Haul lot along Spur 341 in West Fort Worth caught images of Trevor Gage’s motorcycle being followed by a black Ford F-150 that eventually struck him Saturday, forcing him off the road and knocking him from his bike.

Gage was hospitalized and underwent emergency surgery, but he died from his injuries Sunday morning.

Police said the incident may be a case of road rage.

Gage was a well-known White Settlement firefighter who was a husband and father of three.

Hundreds of firefighters, friends and family members gathered in the small community this week to hold a vigil. They'll gather again Saturday morning for his funeral.

Trevor’s Great Aunt Judy Allen stopped by the crash site Thursday where she said Gage’s brother had placed the small road-side memorial that now marks the spot where he was hit.

"So very sad and just a deep loss in our family," said Allen. "It hurts even worse when it’s something like that."

Allen said Gage was a dedicated public servant and family man who will be tough for many to forget.

“You just get by. Thank God you get by, by his grace we get by,” she said.

Police are asking for anyone with tips that may lead to the F-150 driver to call them at 817-246-7070. They’re also seeking out any other surveillance video from the area between the hours of 5:30 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. last Saturday that may have recorded the incident.
