NBC 5 Responds Helps Get Deliveries Rolling For Haltom City Business

The official stance: No mailbox, no delivery.

A small business in Haltom City had been fighting with the local post office for months to get their mail delivered. NBC 5 Responds stepped in to help get their deliveries rolling once again.

Angela Maldonado works for a small promotions company in Haltom City, but issues with the post office slowed business.

The trouble started after the business' mailbox was repeatedly vandalized. The owner was forced to pick up their mail at the post office.

The official stance: No mailbox, no delivery.

The NBC 5 Responds team pointed out a statute listed on the post office website. It reads:

"Mailboxes and door slots aren't required at businesses that are open and have someone on hand to receive the mail."

Our call finally got the business the help it needed.

"Two months we tried to get our mail delivered — and within 24 hours they helped us get it delivered — thank you!" said Maldonado.
