AG Hair Recalls 3,100 Hair Dryers

A company recalled thousands of hair dryers after a defect was found.

AG Hair recalled 3,100 Sweet Heat Hair Dryers because they lack an immersion protection device, which guards against electrocution if the dryer is immersed in water, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The hair dryers are white and have the words “Sweet Heat” printed on the side and "AG Hair" printed on the back. They were sold beauty supply stores and hair salons nationwide from May 2013 through March 2015 for about $100.

Officials said consumers should immediately unplug and stop using the recalled hair dryers and contact AG Hair for a refund.

No injuries have been reported as a result of this defect.

Consumers can contact AG Hair at 866-924-4247, atrecall@aghair.com or www.aghair.com.
