This year, Rosewood Crescent Hotel created an incredible gingerbread house that stands nearly 10 feet tall and is adorned with everything from sugar wreaths and candy canes to a North Pole mailbox and chimney made out of peanut brittle.
The impressive gingerbread house was created by Pastry Chef Eric Perelli and the Pastry team and took over 240 hours to build. It is fashioned using over 500 pounds of ingredients, including:
- 96 Pounds of Flour
- 36 Pounds of Honey
- 100 Pints of Eggs
- 10 Pounds of Spices
- 10 Quarts of Simple Syrup
- 100 Pounds of Icing
- 250 Pounds of Confectioner Sugar
- 25 Pounds of Granulated Sugar
- 20 Pounds of Modeling Chocolate
Present at the unveiling event were number of children from the Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation, as well as their families, who unveiled the centerpiece.
The event also featured a performance by the Turtle Creek Chorale.
