Snack on Some Macho Nachos

Macho Nacho beefs up ballpark classic

Restaurateur Scott Jones (currently of Cowtown Diner, formerly of Screen Door) is known for committing to a concept and taking it to the next level.

His latest eatery, opened with his business partner Carter Wilson, is dedicated to one of the cheesiest guilty pleasures a calorie-starved person can enjoy.

Macho Nacho in the former Hunky’s space at Cedar Springs and Throckmorton is a Tex-Mex restaurant, which celebrates tortilla chips slathered in cheese.

Diners who are really hungry for the fast casual dish may want to order the ‘Make It A Double’ nachos. Fans who want to reminisce about a day watching the Texas Rangers play ball may appreciate the ‘Beyond The Ball Park’ nachos.

Portions break down like this: A half order costs $4.95 and a full order is $8.95. Typical toppings such as ground beef, shredded chicken and fajita meat are offered in addition to ground lamb, barbecue chicken, truffle mushroom and brie or pork pastor.

Diners who crave something other than the house specialty have a delicious array of other Tex-Mex fare, such as migas, tacos, tortas and tostadas to choose from.
