Prince to Play Dallas Tent Before Super Bowl XLV

The artist formerly known as, and once again known as, Prince, will play a concert in Dallas prior to the Super Bowl on the grounds formerly known as Reunion Arena.

Prince, who rarely tours, will take part in a pricey soiree dubbed theEvent on Feb. 4.  Single tickets start at $1,500. Yes, start at. They top out at $25,000 for a head table that seats 10.  For $12,000, you can get a table for six.

That's a lot of scratch to see anyone, but at least the proceeds benefit a good cause -- the Goss-Michael Foundation -- and you'll be well oiled and fed for your contribution, part of which is tax deductible.

If you're thinking there is nothing standing on the ground that once supported Reunion Arena you'd be correct. Prince, and others taking part in theEvent, will play inside a climate-controlled tent erected at the site.

Tickets for Prince in a tent go on sale Friday.
