Martin Perez has traditionally been pretty strong while pitching in O.co Coliseum, and he'll look to continue that — and a fairly nice stretch recently — on Wednesday afternoon to avoid a sweep to the lowly Oakland A's.
Perez hasn't been the model of dominance or efficiency, and he's walking far too many hitters while not striking out enough, but he's still managed to have four straight starts of allowing no more than two runs and going at least six innings in three of the four outings.
Now, the Rangers need him to continue that or they'll be in danger of being swept by one of the worst teams in their division after leaving Arlington coming off a 7-2 homestand. That's a good way to kill some positive momentum.

Perez looked to be in danger of losing a rotation spot a month ago with the Yu Darvish return on the horizon, but if he keeps pitching like he has in the last four starts, his job will be safe.
