MLB More Valuable Than Ever, Even as Audience Shrinks

Major League Baseball is more valuable than ever as the 2015 season gets underway, with team valuations and TV revenues rising even as its television audience ages and shrinks, NBC News reported. Unlike the Super Bowl, which continues to commanded record audiences, the World Series faces declining viewership and an audience with a median age of 55. Even so, the league recently inked a new eight-year deal worth $1.55 billion, as advertisers seek the viewers who watch games live and don't skip commercials.
