Lifelong Steelers Fan, Pittsburgh Native Sean Lee Excited to Play at Home

Sean Lee can remember crying when the Pittsburgh Steelers lost to the Dallas Cowboys in Super Bowl XXX.

"I cried afterwords, but I shouldn't have because I don't remember watching play-to-play. I think I was playing video games for half the game," said the Cowboys linebacker.

Lee grew up in the south hills of Pittsburgh, about 20 minutes away from Heinz Field -- where he'll play on Sunday for the Cowboys. He was a big Steelers fan growing up, as was his entire family.

"I was a big fan of Greg Lloyd and Kevin Greene and then you liked Rod Woodson and Carnell Lake, you know that great defense of the 90's," said Lee. "I was that kid who was bringing the "Here We Go Steelers" fight song to recess, playing it over and over at recess in third grade."

Lee's father would always talk about the "Steel Curtain," the great Steelers defense of the 1970's. It's partly why Lee wanted to play on that side of the ball. His love for the Steelers traveled with him to Penn State for college.

"When I was in college I had the "Steel Curtain" poster up on my wall. I had a Jack Lambert picture on my wall. Football season, we watched every game and that was a big deal. I was constantly told stories about the 70's Steelers, and really the rivalry with Dallas," said Lee.

As a Pittsburgh local, Lee will have a big group of supporters coming to the game. He anticipates that there's 30 or more and he's still sorting out the tickets.
