Kidd, Odom Out for Mavericks Against Clippers

Kidd out with groin strain and Odom suffers from stomach illness

The Dallas Mavericks are without guard Jason Kidd and forward Lamar Odom for their game against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Coach Rick Carlisle said before Monday night's game that Kidd has a right groin strain that will likely keep him out of all four games this week. Odom is out with a stomach illness that also kept him out of practice Sunday.

Kidd, whose 1,309 regular season games are the most among active players and 10th all-time, has already been out for two different four-game stretches because of injury. He was sidelined in early February because of a right calf strain and missed games in January because of a lower-back injury.
