In a 2008 season ripe with key injuries, that of left guard Kyle Kosier went generally unnoticed.
Kosier missed most of the season with a foot injury--giving way to a position by committee scenario, with Montrae Holland and Cory Proctor trading time--his absence reinforcing the rarely publicized cruciality of a healthy offensive line.
With Kosier back in 2009, and the line in tact, the offense has flourished, with only that of New Orleans being more statistically proficient.
Dallas, Gerry Fraley at the Dallas Morning News wrote today, is just one of eight teams to start the same five linemen in each game this year--knock, knock, knock--with Flozell Adams, Kosier, Andre Gurode, Marc Colombo and Leonard Davis in place for each of the team's six games.

The other teams to pull off this feat are Arizona, Atlanta, Carolina, Chicago, Miami, the Jets and the Steelers.
And, again, knock on wood. Not to devalue those behind the starting five, but the depth of the offensive line is a reasonable concern, as after the starters, there is little to no game-experience among the group. Look for this to be a priority in the draft next season; unless, of course, Jerry Jones trades the picks for some magic beans.
