Frederick, Williams Named to Kiper's All-Rookie Team

ESPN's Mel Kiper recently released his annual All-Rookie Team

ESPN’s Mel Kiper has released his All-Rookie Team for 2013 and two Cowboys, center Travis Frederick and receiver Terrance Williams, were two of the 30 first year players to make the cut.

Frederick, which at the time was a much criticized (even by Kiper himself) pick at 31st overall, proved to be rock in the middle of the Cowboys offensive line and a huge part of that unit’s turnaround from 2012 to 2013.

Of Frederick, via ESPN Dallas, Kiper writes: “Filled a big need, provided a consistent push in the run game, and figures to hold down this gig for a long time.”

The 24-year-old Williams finished his rookie campaign with 44 catches, 736 yards and five touchdowns and helped the offense make up for the production lost due to Miles Austin’s ever-lingering injury issues. He figures to begin next year as high on the depth chart as No. 2 receiver, given that Austin will likely be a cap casualty come June.

Among the 30, Frederick was ranked 11th overall, while Williams was ranked 28th.
