Mavericks Announce Schedule; NBA Still in Lockout

The reigning World Champion Dallas Mavericks, gosh that still sounds so good, announced their 2011-12 preseason schedule Thursday -- which will be played only if the NBA gets a new collective bargaining agreement.

Man, this sounds familiar.

Anyhow, five of the World Champion Dallas Mavericks' eight preseason matches are against 2011 playoff teams -- including a rematch with the Oklahoma City Thunder on Oct. 16

The World Champion Dallas Mavericks, OK, I'll stop, open the exhibition season on the road at Indiana on Oct. 11, before returning home for matchups with Sacramento and Oklahoma City on Oct. 14 and Oct. 16. The Mavericks will then travel to Charlotte for a meeting with the Bobcats on Oct. 20 and continue on to Washington D.C. to take on the Wizards the following night (Oct. 21).

Dallas returns to the American Airlines Center for games against Indiana (Oct. 24) and Atlanta (Oct. 26), before concluding the preseason with a nationally televised matchup against Southwest Division foe New Orleans on Oct. 28.

The preseason finale against the Hornets will air live on ESPN at 8:30 p.m. CT.

All games can be heard on ESPN 103.3 FM and in Spanish on KFLC (1270 AM). Local television coverage will be announced at a later date -- provided they get a CBA.

Following preseason play, Dallas tips off the 2011-12 regular season on Nov. 1 against Chicago -- you guessed it, provided they get a CBA.
