CNN host Piers Morgan was dragged deeper into the U.K. phone hacking scandal Thursday when Paul McCartney’s ex-wife testified before a British media ethics inquiry. Heather Mills said that a phone message the former Beatle left her --and that Morgan later boasted of hearing -- could have only occurred because her phone was illegally hacked. Mills said she “never” made a recording of the conversation with her ex or played it for Morgan, who she called "a man that has written nothing but awful things about me for years." Morgan has refused to explain how he came to hear the recording back when he was a London tabloid editor.
