A long, winding wrong-way chase through southeast Dallas County ended in a crash Tuesday night.
Authorities were first alerted about the chase at about 10:40 p.m.
The driver fled Dallas police for an unknown reason in the area of Interstate 20 and St. Augustine Drive.
The man, who was driving a pickup truck, pulled over early in the chase near I-20 and St. Augustine Drive to let two passengers out and then continued driving.
He reached speeds as high as 90 mph and was at times driving in opposite lanes of highway traffic as he drove up and down I-20 and US Highway 175 in the southeast part of Dallas.
The man eventually crashed into another vehicle and was taken into custody at 13357 Vida Lane at Belt Line Road. State Troopers transported him to the Henderson County jail.
At this time, it is unknown how many people were injured in the crash.
