Dallas police have a man in custody who they believe fatally shot a woman in a hotel parking lot Friday morning. [[320252131,C]]
Officers found the woman's body at the bottom of a flight of stairs at the City Inn & Suites in the 200 block of Ewing Avenue near Interstate 35E at about 3 a.m., according to police.
Police said the woman, identified as 42-year-old Ladonna Gist, died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds.
Officers talked to several witnesses to learn more about the shooter, and they later arrested Estevan Lara, 36.
Lara faces a murder charge and is jailed on a $750,000 bond.
