Police in West Texas have arrested 10 people in a forgery and counterfeit cash investigation.
Abilene police on Wednesday, June 10 announced the arrests related to bogus bills passed throughout the city.
The suspects -- men and women -- are accused of producing counterfeit bills in several denominations and spending the fake cash at several Abilene businesses. Authorities say the counterfeit money was done by using a copier or a printer.
Police say the investigation began about a month ago. The suspects were arrested June 9 on forgery-related counts.
Further details have not been immediately released.
