Passengers were ordered to evacuate Terminal D at DFW International Airport shortly after 10:30 Thursday morning.
DFW Airport spokesman Ken Capps said the incident was triggered by a false fire alarm.
Passengers were ordered out of the building, but allowed back inside a short time later.
All passengers had to be to be re-screened at TSA security checkpoints.
Kapps said they were not expecting significant delays because of the disruption inside the terminal.
