1 Dead, 1 Hurt in Shooting Near TCU Campus, Search for Gunman

One person is dead and another wounded following a shooting at a home near the campus of Texas Christian University Friday morning, police said.

The shooting was reported before 10 a.m. on the 3500 block of Rogers Avenue, about half a mile south of TCU.

According to a MedStar spokesman, a gunman shot two roommates and ran away. One person was deceased and a second person was taken to a hospital with unknown injuries, police said.

McLean Middle School and McLean 6th Grade were placed on lock out as police searched for the suspect, said Clint Bond, a Fort Worth ISD spokesman.

Investigators said the victims are adults and were not students at TCU.

No further information was released.

Fort Worth police were seen searching for a gunman suspected in a double shooting in a neighborhood just south of the Texas Christian University Friday morning.
