Police said they arrested six people involved in an illegal street racing ring in Dallas Monday.
Dallas police said they arrested 19-year-old Christian Torres, 26-year-old Herbert Umanzor, 21-year-old David Lopez, 19-year-old Christoper Lopez, 19-year-old Steven Hernandez and 22-year-old Rafael Cardenas.
After gathering intelligence through a month-long surveillance, police said they conducted the “illegal racing operation” in the 8400 block of Eastpoint Drive.
Nine vehicles were towed to the city pound during the operation. Police said they also issued five citations for weapon and drug possession.
Police said they conducted the operation after receiving ongoing complaints by nearby residents.
