A 22-year-old man has told police in the San Antonio area that his stepfather attacked him with a machete.
Police in Kirby, an enclave of San Antonio, say officers found the man on the driveway outside a home bleeding from cuts to his neck, face and hands and found his 39-year-old stepfather with a machete inside the garage at the home.
The older man also was wounded. Authorities say the stepson hit him in the head with a metal ladder while defending himself.
The latest news from around North Texas.
Kirby police did not identify either man. Both were taken to hospitals with injuries officials say are not life threatening. Police said Saturday the stepfather would be transferred to the Bexar County Jail.
