Rangers React to Dallas Shooting Tragedy

The Texas Rangers gave their thoughts upon learning of the shooting in Dallas Thursday night

When the Dallas shootings happened Thursday night, the Texas Ranges were in the seventh inning playing the Minnesota Twins.

None of the players knew of the tragedy unfolding a few miles east on Interstate 30.

However, manager Jeff Banister was informed at that time so he could inform the team once the game was over.

Banister said the remaining two innings were a blur, as his mind was racing.

Once the game ended, the team got the players up to speed on the news that was still breaking in Dallas.

The team also held the moment of silence featured above before the game on July 8: in tribute to all who have lost their lives to senseless acts of violence in the DFW community. .
