We salute young, up-and-coming journalists making waves at an Austin film festival.
A team from Prosper High School took home top honors in the documentary category at the 2016 state UIL Young Filmmakers Festival — basically the state championship for TV and film.
The Prosper team's film is called "The Promise: Different but Equal" and it covers the topic of race and prejudice through the eyes of high school students.
A Prosper team also won state in this category in 2014 and had a film named as a finalist last year.
