Dallas police say they've recovered four guitars stolen last week from touring musician Nils Lofgren.
Lofgren, a longtime member of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band, was due to perform Friday at Dallas' Kessler Theater and spent Thursday night at an area Holiday Inn. Friday morning Lofgren noticed someone had broken into his van and taken several guitars and a harp.
Using borrowed instruments, Lofgren was able to keep his gig at the Kessler. After Dallas, Lofgren was expected to play a show Saturday in Austin before heading to California for four shows.
After Dallas police tweeted Monday they made an arrest in the theft, Lofgren may no longer have to worry about what instruments he'll use at the shows out west.
Police said Monday they were contacted Sunday by a person who said they'd bought one of the instruments online. The person said he did not know the guitar was stolen when he bought it but then saw news articles about the thefts and called police.
The buyer said the instruments were posted on the app "OFFER UP" and that he stayed in contact with the seller.
Dallas police said they later arrested 33-year-old Oscar Mendoza and recovered guitars belonging to Lofgren. Police haven't said if Lofgren's harp was among the items found.

Lofgren tweeted his gratitude Monday, saying: "Looks like my guitars are coming back to me."
Mendoza, police said, was charged with possession of stolen property and possession of a controlled substance.
