Gov. Rick Perry is heading back to Iowa as his political nonprofit is touting the re-election bid by Iowa's governor.
Perry will be in Iowa Thursday for a day of events while campaigning for Gov. Terry Branstad.
Americans for Economic Freedom is a group that promotes Republican gubernatorial leadership around the country. It's also helping Perry prepare for a possible second White House run.
The group sponsored a spot posted online Wednesday that features Branstad and Perry explaining how low taxes in states with Republican governors promote job-creation.
Americans for Economic Freedom was founded with funds left over from a political action committee that raised millions during Perry's failed 2012 presidential bid.
Unlike Branstad, Perry isn't seeking re-election this fall. This is Perry's third trip since November to Iowa, which kicks off presidential voting.
